WELCOME!

Welcome to the Central Valley Homeschoolers blog. We've created this blog to help homeschoolers stay connected, and as a place to announce upcoming field trips or other activities. If you would like to host an event or organize an activity, we would love to hear from you. Feel free to email us and we'll be sure to post all events as they are brought to our attention. We will also be posting activities that might interest the homeschooling community. If you are aware of any events that you haven't seen mentioned here, please let us know and we'll be sure to post it. Keep us bookmarked us and check back often. All our events are also listed on Facebook in the Annapolis Valley Homeschoolers group. Comments and suggestions are always welcome!

Update: Physics Day and New: Project WET

Next week we will not be meeting at Acadia. They are having a conflict with booking a room with enough space for us in the middle of the school term. We will be doing our Physics day in April instead, and on February 15th @ 10am we will instead meet at Ocean Spirit Studio in Canning for a favorite share. Sort of like show and tell, each child can bring your favorite BOOK and we will read them together as a group.

Lastly, I am also involved with the Annapolis Valley Young Naturalist Club. On Saturday, February 25th at 10:30am a group called "Project WET" will be bringing their interactive water tanks to teach us all about conservation, water cycle and the role of water in our lives. Their website is here: http://www.projectwet.org/ This event will only be available to 20 children so if you are interested, please email me to confirm your spot.

Thanks and looking forward to seeing you soon,
Alisa Nguyen
