WELCOME!

Welcome to the Central Valley Homeschoolers blog. We've created this blog to help homeschoolers stay connected, and as a place to announce upcoming field trips or other activities. If you would like to host an event or organize an activity, we would love to hear from you. Feel free to email us and we'll be sure to post all events as they are brought to our attention. We will also be posting activities that might interest the homeschooling community. If you are aware of any events that you haven't seen mentioned here, please let us know and we'll be sure to post it. Keep us bookmarked us and check back often. All our events are also listed on Facebook in the Annapolis Valley Homeschoolers group. Comments and suggestions are always welcome!

Science Fair

The Science Fair is coming up quickly.

It is not too late to register.

We always have a great time!

Looking forward to seeing you there.

Event Date: Februray 18, 2012 - 10:am- 1:pm

Where: Bedford Institute of Oceanography.
All students are welcome to participate. Everyone is welcome to participate - regardless of your religious stand. We do ask, however, that you respect that we are a Christian group and refrain from submitting projects that are in opposition to creation science. That is not to say that a project on types of rocks would not be acceptable - just that a project about rocks that are 'billions' of years old would be contrary to what we believe. Thank you for working together with us to make this a positive event for all involved.

Here are some websites that you might find helpful:
There are no age restrictions - we have had preschoolers participate too. Our son Matthew has always been the oldest but he has graduated...any teens out there???? We'd love to have you encourage the younger ones with your participation!
It is non-competitive and really focused on being an opportunity to showcase the children's efforts and give them a chance to discuss their projects with people outside of their everyday. It is very low key and we are always impressed with the creativity and amazing projects the students bring. If you have any specific questions, just let us know.
Projects should fit on half of a six foot table. Tables will be provided by HEMS.
Following the displays, please have a snack to share while students receive their certificates.
In Him and for His sake,
