Welcome to the Central Valley Homeschoolers blog. We've created this blog to help homeschoolers stay connected, and as a place to announce upcoming field trips or other activities. Math Games Mid Valley

WHEN: Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at 1:30 PM - 3:00 PM
WHERE: 8836, Highway 201, Nictaux, NS
AGES: 10 - 13
MAXIMUM PARTICIPATION: 12 people

Mona Henniger (one of our great homeschooling moms) is offering to start a Math club for home schoolers.  She has a background in Math and Education.  It would not be curriculum focused, although the kids would definitely learn and/or practice components of the curriculum.

Activities could include, but are not limited to, playing with numbers (patters, tricks, etc), playing games (board, card, dice), solving and creating math puzzles, doing hands-on activities (geometry, art, etc), learning about famous mathematicians, and having fun with math!
