WHEN: June 13 or 14, 2014; 10 AM - 4 PM.
WHERE: 1633 Starr's Point Road Starr's Point, Nova Scotia.
COST: $2.55 per child.
Let's make a day of it. Step back in time with us as we go to Prescott House and learn about a time gone by. We will participate in a program which runs for approximately 3 hours. Upon arrival students will be divided into 3 groups, and will rotate through 3 different activities, lasting 30 minutes each. The activities include 1) house tour; 2) outdoor adventure; and 3) dried flower bookmarks. The remaining time can be allocated to playing Victorian games and/or a lunch break.
When we finish up at the museum we will head over to Blomidon Provincial Park to check out the great beach!
Practicalities:
Our inviting grounds and picnic areas will be where we enjoy lunch and/or snacks.
The program cost is $2.55 per child. Teachers and chaperones are free.
There is a small gift shop on site which includes inexpensive toys and souvenirs ($1.00-$2.00).
Please dress for the weather!
We do need to know numbers for the museum so I would ask that you let Maureen MacInnes know if you are coming or hoping to come!

WELCOME!
Welcome to the Central Valley Homeschoolers blog. We've created this blog to help homeschoolers stay connected, and as a place to announce upcoming field trips or other activities. If you would like to host an event or organize an activity, we would love to hear from you. Feel free to email us and we'll be sure to post all events as they are brought to our attention. We will also be posting activities that might interest the homeschooling community. If you are aware of any events that you haven't seen mentioned here, please let us know and we'll be sure to post it. Keep us bookmarked us and check back often. All our events are also listed on Facebook in the Annapolis Valley Homeschoolers group. Comments and suggestions are always welcome!
