COST: $7 for a family to showcase at a table and FREE! for the public!
Homeschoolers from the Annapolis Valley will be showcasing some of what they have learned and experienced this past school year, while at the same time promoting awareness and conversation surrounding homeschooling.
This event has four target audiences: homeschoolers themselves, our neighbours/friends/family, MLAs and others in local/provincial/federal government or the education system, as well as potentially curious members of the general public.
Homeschooling families will be setting up exhibits throughout the gym and will be on hand to answer any questions visitors may have. Snacks and a light lunch will be available (provided by the homeschoolers - details TBA). Throughout the Expo there will also be some on-stage demonstrations. All are welcome to sit a while and enjoy refreshments and conversation. There will also be a used curriculum sale at this event. The Expo will take place in the gym; we ask that you use the rear parking lot and enter the gym directly from the back of the campus, as the rest of the college will be closed that day.
Participating homeschooling families are asked to sign up as soon as possible(one sign-up sheet per family). Sign-up sheets are available online (through the Annapolis Valley Homeschoolers Facebook group) or contact Brenda. The cost is $7 per family.
