WELCOME!

Welcome to the Central Valley Homeschoolers blog. We've created this blog to help homeschoolers stay connected, and as a place to announce upcoming field trips or other activities. If you would like to host an event or organize an activity, we would love to hear from you. Feel free to email us and we'll be sure to post all events as they are brought to our attention. We will also be posting activities that might interest the homeschooling community. If you are aware of any events that you haven't seen mentioned here, please let us know and we'll be sure to post it. Keep us bookmarked us and check back often. All our events are also listed on Facebook in the Annapolis Valley Homeschoolers group. Comments and suggestions are always welcome!

Valley Homeschool Expo - It's coming up!

WHEN: Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 10:00 AM - 2 PM
WHERE: NSCC Kingstec, 236 Belcher St., Kentville, NS
COST: FREE

Hey valley homeschool families!!!  We're looking for families again to host tables at this year's Expo.  If you're interested in sharing your talents with other homeschoolers and their families, please PM Alisa Nguyen on Facebook or email her at nguyenalisa1@gmail.com .  Thank you!

Set up is at 9:30 AM, doors open to homeschool families at 10:00 AM, to the public at 10:45 AM.

The choice to homeschool can be difficult for some parents and being able to connect with others who are doing it can be supportive and fun!  This year's 3rd Annual event will feature families who are homeschooling with projects, units of study, and experiments.  There will be businesses available on hand like Long & McQuade who support homeschooling.  Also the provincial community will be on hand with groups like NSHEA and HSLDA to answer questions about the legalities of homeschooling.  Also available will be live performances, light refreshments, a musical petting zoo, games, prizes and more!  Everyone is invited :)

Please check out the website for more information!
