Welcome to the Central Valley Homeschoolers blog. We've created this blog to help homeschoolers stay connected, and as a place to announce upcoming field trips or other activities. If you would like to host an event or organize an activity, we would love to hear from you. Feel free to email us and we'll be sure to post all events as they are brought to our attention. We will also be posting activities that might interest the homeschooling community. Details for the FIRST LEGO LEAGUE (FLL) Workshop!

WHEN: Friday, February 6, 2015 at 12:30 - 4:30 PM
WHERE: NSCC, Middleton Campus
COST: FREE!!!
Parents and youth are invited to attend an interactive informative session about FLL and the benefits of being on an FLL Team.  FLL teams are open to youth 9-14, however for this workshop if younger or older youth want to attend, they are more than welcome to!  Parents are encouraged to stay to learn about their roles and possible commitment to a team.

Topics for the workshop:
  • What is FLL?
  • Benefits of being on an FLL team.
  • Full cost and commitment.

Hands on sessions:
  • Building a robot.
  • Programming the robot.
  • Completing the robot challenges. 

For the workshop we have 9 robot kits and usually assign 2-3 people per robot.
