Come out to the Rotary Park in Middleton to meet other homeschoolers in a relaxed environment and have a whole lot of fun and conversation.
The original organizers of our track and field event are either moving or not homeschooling anymore, and many of the volunteers who signed up to help with this event last spring are not available on September 6. It is hard to plan a big event like this during the summer, and it can be hard for parents to sign up their kids while away on vacation. So we plan to reschedule the track and field event in May and instead have a fun day at the Rotary Park anyway to reconnect with other homeschoolers and kick off the new school year.
We would ask each family to bring an activity along to the Rotary Park (e.g. croquet, bocce ball, water balloons, a scavenger hunt or obstacle course, volleyball, soccer ball, parachute game, hockey sticks & ball, etc.). Let us see how many of the activities we can get to. We will ask the Town of Middleton to set up the tennis courts, volleyball net, and picnic tables. There is a playground and a pavilion. Bring a picnic lunch. Tell your friends.
