Hello!
Just a few things I wanted to share:
This Saturday March 24th, the Annapolis Valley Young Naturalist Club will be learning what to do if we ever find ourselves lost in the woods. This essential course is being presented by Valley Search and Rescue and is FREE to everyone. It starts at 10:30am in the downstairs auditorium in the KC Irving Environmental Science Centre. It is approximately 1 hour in length and all children must be supervised. The second thing is that Wednesday mornings Community Play Group will be meeting at 10am at Valley Waste Resource Management in Coldbrook (at 100 Donald Hiltz Connector Road in the Kentville Industrial Park. The site should be accessed via Harrington Road off the #1 Highway (West Park Street) this Wednesday to learn about recycling, composting and waste. Please arrive a few minutes in advance.
Finally, attached is an application for an opportunity for two valley youth (8-12) to be sponsored to attend an amazing weekend in Tatamagouche learning all about becoming a naturalist. If your kids or someone you know is interested in applying for the program, the forms are attached and you can always contact me for more information. Thanks! See you soon!
