Welcome to the Central Valley Homeschoolers blog. We've created this blog to help homeschoolers stay connected, and as a place to announce upcoming field trips or other activities. Maple Syrup Field Trip

We have the opportunity to visit a maple syrup farm near Aylesford in the Valley.   The tour will take about 1 hour and will include: tapping a few trees, being shown how maple syrup is made and then a small sampling of the syrup. The couple doing the tour is retiring this year and offering to do this tour for free (although I think it would be a nice gesture to give them a donation of some kind).

We will meet from 10-11:30 on Wednesday, 14 March 2012.

Due to the weather, we will be given only a few days notice of when we can visit and it will probably be a two-day window to actually visit. Those interested in going will have to be prepared to be flexible.
